I cut my soap today, scented with rosemary/basil/lemongrass essential oils. Both Mrs. Zing and I had the same reaction -- the scent doesn't go with the colors. Is that weird?

I love the colors. But I get it...I always try and match the colors to the scent. Im sure most people don’t worry so much about that though. This one to me screams Black Raspberry Vanilla. 😁

I always try to match my fragrance with the color lol. I think the swirl colors match. If you sell, i dont think your buyers are gonna think it doesnt match.

it is very pretty. I love the swirl

Beautiful! I agree raspberry fragrance, or chocolate and strawberry, lol! In any case, it is a very lovely soap :)

I like them. I'm another one who has to match the colors and fragrance. Earlier this year I did soaps for a bridal shower and almost had a nervous breakdown. She picked 3 fragrances. Love Spell, Raspberry Lemonade and Apricot. The colors were Love Spell (pink & white), Raspberry Lemonade (purple & white), Apricot (pink and green). It killed me. LOL

That Raspberry Lemonade would have done me in lol PURPLE!

I did a little experiment where I would tell someone who is testing a soap what the fragrance is before they smelled it. Fifty percent of the time, they would say "yeah it does smell like that" or they would say "yeah I smell that plus blah" so I don't even worry about matching the scent with the colors that much. If I can do it I will but it isn't important to me.

If someone gives me a sweet, handmade soap for free with a cool essential oil blend that, yeah, doesn't match the 'look' of the soap, I'm getting over the cognitive dissonance real fast and taking a nice, long shower!

Just saying...

I certainly see what you're saying though. But then, I wonder, if you don't tell them what you scented it with, if they'll just go ahead and smell those black raspberries anyway.
