If you would print on a label that is not waterproof with laser printer, would it smudge?

Do you mean when it get's wet?

I just rubbed some tea (cold) on to a piece of normal paper with laser printing on - the writing is holding up fine, but the block of colour is looking lighter, but I was rubbing. I think the worst thing will be the label itself getting funky in the damp. Maybe spray over it with a clear adhesive to offer some protection?

I use glossy white or clear laser labels for my waterproof labels and they work fine, straight paper, not so much....

Laser printers work by using static electricity to adher and melt plastic pellets into the paper, whereas inkjet printers spray water soluble ink onto the paper. So yes, it'll be as waterproof as the paper.

I use printable vinyl sticker paper so the ink wont smudge. :) ImageUploadedBySoap Making1391569927.024981.jpg
