Hi, I'm new here. I just want to ask if someone would have an idea on what's happening with my cold process soap?

I'm doing a rice milk soap, it has 5% lactic acid, 1% rice starch, and 0.15% walnut at first. The formulation is okay with small batch but upon doing it in bigger batches there's this line that seems like no starch and walnut on the surface. It occurs in the middle part of the soap. I tried decreasing lactic acid from 5 to 3 then to 1%, and upon decreasing it the line is getting thinner. So I'm guessing it's because of the LA, but the question is, others are doing a soap with lactic acid and doesn't encounter any problem with it.

It might be uneven mixing or heat distribution in larger batches try mixing additives at a thinner trace and ensuring even temperatures.
