I was wondering if they are the same thing? Looking at the ingredients in the store it seems like it to me. But I could not find the percentages of soy and palm on either one. But my vision is really bad, so I could have missed it.

I ask because I need to make a large batch of soap to give away, and I do not want to spend much, so was thinking of a Crisco / coconut combination, but I wonder if I use the Kroger brand, that is half the price of Crisco, how to enter it on the calculator.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm not sure if the Kroger brand has tallow in it, some off brands do. On SoapCalc there's an entry for "Crisco, new with palm" or "Crisco, Old". I believe the old version of Crisco contained tallow (someone correct me if I'm wrong). So if the Kroger brand has tallow, use the Crisco Old to enter the oil. If it doesn't, use the Crisco, new with palm.

Is Soybean and palm. just like the new Crisco. What I am basically wondering is that if it would be the same percentage of soy and palm. I am guessing it is.

Thank you cmzaha, I think I will try it out.

I would assume it is the same or close enough, that is is not going to make a difference. There is enough leeway with the average sap values that it will be fine, unless you are making a tiny amount which I assume you are not since these are to give away
