I use 13% cocoa butter in a serum. I had tried a higher amount in previous batches but it would make my serum very thick. After many batches, I finally found that 13% was just enough to give it a perfect thickness.
Now, I want to switch to Kokum butter and have been reading that Kokum is a harder butter. Does that mean that it could thicken more then Cocoa butter? Before I go messing with what I already have as a perfect product, I need to know what "Hard" means in Kokum butter.

The reason for my switching is two fold, one I found that it is more stable butter and it can also be a sub for Cocoa butter, and two, from what I read, I would like Kokum because it regenerates tired and worn skin cells which is perfect for my serum.:???:

I use kokum in place of cocoa because of skin reactions. I would scale your recipe down to make a small batch to test. Kokum is a hard brittle butter like cocoa.

I think I will do what abc suggested, Iam going to do a test batch and see. That will be the only way. I like the feedback though. I thank you all for that.
