Kai and Lust for Life- Day star

I just made a couple small samples testers for these two FO's.

Kai definitely accelerates but is heavily floral, so expected. What I did NOT except was the DC. My eyebrows went up to my hairline, I think, as the sample turned a dusky sl purple shade of gray. Whether it will stay that way, I don't know, but I will report tomorrow what it looks like. Smells great if you like heady floral.

Lust for Life did not accelerate and is still pourable, after I made and poured my other batch and then did these two. Any acceleration, if at all, seems minimal. The FO itself is orange-red and I can see the batter is sl orange. It's pretty but definitely there. Again it may fade as the batter saponifies, so I will report tomorrow.

Whoa! Kai is trying to gel! I have about 3/4 inch of batter in a 2 or 3 ounce solo cup and it's sweating and very warm for such a small size. Definitely trying to muster up the heat to gel. It's now a dusty rose color. In a mold, esp a loaf mold, this one will need to be watched for overheating.

Lust for life has more or less set, still bloops a tiny bit if I tip the sup and jiggle it. No change in color and it's not at all warm.

Soaped at about 95-100 degrees.

WEll, here they are. Both dc'ed.


Kai is that purple gray color and Lust for Life is orangey. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad using a small amount in a batch. I put in a few drops from the cap.
