Hi, I'm Denise, and I'm a retired college professor living in North Alabama (and dreaming of traveling the world). I got into making my own products after being diagnosed with MS and Fibromyalgia, and developing skin sensitivities to perfumes, dyes, and additives. So far, I make my own laundry detergent, cleaning products, cosmetics, and shampoo, but I really want to learn to make my own soap--thus my reason for being here! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, and picking up some great hints for soap (and hopefully candle) making.

Welcome! I'm also a college professor but quite some ways from retirement!

My husband's cousin was diagnosed with MS 20 years ago. She has been stable for quite some time and makes the most out of life. There are lots of new treatments in development - I hope that one of them works for you.
