It is a good pair for marketing my soaps and lotions indeed! :)

An NPI number is a National Provider Identifier number, it is used for Practitioners to accept business from people who are seeking services through their insurance company... It also allows the Practitioner to charge insurance companies for their services!

For me...It means I can now go into all the Chiropractors offices I have been contacting (who were asking me if I had my NPI, to which I replied Not yet..) and let them know I am ready to go! It opens up a whole new market for me because I can now develop business referral relationships with those chiropractors and accept their clients who want to compliment their Chiropractic treatment with Massage! (which in my opinion should go hand in hand!) My theory is that you can go for chiropractic work and it may help, but if the same muscles are tense still, it will just pull the bones back into a subluxated position...negating the effectiveness of the treatment. When one goes for massage and chiropractic, the treatment is waaaaay more effective! :)

More from the Chronicles of Steve. When you said your NPI number allowed you do insurance work it reminded me of a shifty character I met many years ago. He had an Engineering business that did insurance work on rental trailers and horse floats, I was in his shed one day when I noticed a tool that looked a bit like a pick but welded to the end was horse shoe. I asked him what this special tool was used for and he said it was used to enhance damage on horse floats so he could claim more work and more money. It takes all kinds to fill a world. Steve :D

lol ayeeeeeeeeee

that is pretty crazy lol... what did he do just get to whackin' the float with this weird homemade horseshoe cleaver!?!?! lol

He showed me on a rental float, he just gave the float a whack with this tool at the right height on a panel on the side of the float and said when the asessor came to look he would get paid to replace that panel. Not the sort of bloke you would lend money to me thinks. Steve :D
