I used to have a small bottle of "japanese washing grains" many years ago. Please don't ask me what was in it cause I don't remember.
Basically you poured some into the palm of your hand (the washing grains were like a powdery dry substance), add a little water, then work it into a lather in the palm of your hand, then wash your face with it. The washing grains exfoliated and polished your face without drying it out.
I keep thinking of those washing grains and wondering what could I use to make a similar type facial scrub?
I'm gonna take a stab at this a say it must have been some clay with an added exfoliation substance like ground seed powder of something similar. But what would the lathering agent be?
Anyone have any ideas on how I can make something similar? I sure wish I could find them again.
