I just made an order to restock alot of stuff i am out of. It is so fun doing that! but you sure can run through that hard earned cash very fast!!!

I totally agree. I just had to restock as well. But its like Christmas when your order arrives! I have my first colorants driving tomorrow :)

It can be so nerve-wrecking waiting, though! I ordered some stuff last week (mostly fragrance and color samples), and I'm waiting on it.... UPS claims it's supposed to be delivered tomorrow, but the last time it was scanned was an arrival scan 2AM Saturday morning in Ohio. Nothing since then. Aaaaaah! Is it stuck in Ohio? Or have they just not been scanning it??

In January I went absolutely crazy on The Conservatorie TWICE and then there was all those cute little silicone moulds you can get on eBay and then there was Gracefruit. SO many pretty moulds and SO many fabulous micas and SO many wonderful FO's ... and SO SO SO many withdrawals on my Visa card. UGH!

I have had to "Parental Control" myself out of eBay and Amazon for this whole month. My Visa card needs to cool to room temperature before I dare use it again. :(

Yep, burnt some cash on supplies lately. It's a little too much fun looking at soap making goodies. Waiting on a log cutter from Bud to arrive. Then I'll have to make lots of soap logs just so I can cut them and go Ooooooo, so then I'll need to order more supplies. It's a vicious cycle. <--------This is me in the "vicious" cycle.

Once again, I must blame hubby as an enabler.

He goes through my cupboard and says, hey, did you know you're almost out of shea butter? And why do you have an empty bottle of rice bran oil?

(To remind me to get more, says I, otherwise, if I toss the empty bottle, it's not there to remind me I need some, says I )

So hubby makes a list of everything I'm low on, along with some scent ideas he remembered me discussing, and says, well you should get them ordered BEFORE you run out so that you don't have to worry about empty bottles.

So I did. :)

Umm, says he, I didn't mean right this minute, the whole long list at once!

Oops.

(But the scents were on sale, says I)

Grrrr says he.

I haven't tried to order any color or fragrance as yet.
I think this one will give me problems.
Do you guys do colors/fragrance in one place or 1 color
here another color someplace else? I have a feeling
I know the answer :)

my pocket is in a desperate need of recuperation for the next few months. i have enough supply to cover me for the next six months, i think. i simply can't afford to purchase anything at the moment, other than restocking for the usual soaping oils like palm, coconut, rice bran, and pomace.

@ilovesoap2
i have different suppliers for colorants and scents. shopping for them can be a bit problematic coz there are just so many that you wanna buy. what i usually do is put all sorts of things that interest me in to the cart and review them later on, before making the final purchase. of course, at the end, there are a few extras that make it slightly over budget :D

I think my cc has saponified for awhile. I was doing my taxes and found out I spent almost 5,000 in soap goodies this past year. Goodness, I have a soaping addiction. I need to keep better track this year and spend more wisely....yeah right.....Fortunately this year should be a good moneymaking year.....fingers crossed sales keep going up.

I want to order a bunch of colors so badly. Now and then when I'm bored I put what I want into the shopping carts at WSP, BB, and TKB to see what ones I'll buy from each of them when I can (whichever is cheapest at each basically.) Just a couple from WSP but I'll order them when I order some bulk lye eventually. And a bunch of oxides and couple micas from BB, and a couple oxides and bunch of micas from TKB. Someday!

And I have some excel sheets worked out for stuff I'll need to start selling my body products that I've been making for a long time now. Things like containers, labels, etc. For me being environmentally friendly is very important so I've looked up recyclable packaging. I want to use things like aluminum and glass containers that can last forever, and offer 'refills' in compostable packaging for people to refill containers they've already purchased from me, or refill containers they already have around the house instead of tossing them.

That's a good idea. I thought of packaging srubs in little mason jars and giving customers a discount if they brought it back to be refilled.
