1) Major, major issue at the beginning of the year. I can't relay details, but it was a very big, very nasty skeleton that climbed out of the sewer.
2) Hubby went in Friday for an MRI...some concerning issues. Afterwards, the radiologist asked a wait and then said that he consulted with hubby's PCP and they wanted us to go to the ER immediately and he was admitted a couple of hours later. Mini Strokes. And because the initial tests did not come out as expected, they ran additional tests and there are two more issues. Issues, if by themselves would be treatable and manageable, in combination have made for a 'perfect storm'. We'll find out today when he gets to come home. And when he does, he'll have to be monitored so I have already arranged to work from home...as long as I need to according to my boss.
3) Then just as I was about to go to bed I get a call from my son. There has been an accident and he's being transferred to the burn unit in the city. Wasn't paying attention, fell into their fire pit. Given the quick action of friends who saw what was about to happened, he was only in the fire for three to five seconds and has mostly 2nd Degree burns on both lower arms, across one shoulder and from his mid-back to his waistband. Thankfully he had just gotten out of the pool and had put on his jeans; they literally saved his butt and the back of his thighs. He also wasn't wearing a shirt, so they didn't have to clean that out. Even with Oxy and Morphine, it was still an excruciating experience and the head nurse overseeing it said, "Be glad that it hurts so badly, it means that you didn't burn off your nerves."
