Picked up some Bath & Body brand fragrance oils and wondering if they are "safe" to use in CP. I don't mean are they stable as far as affecting color, I mean...can they be combined with the oils/lye without uhhhh exploding! Anybody ever use these?

Probably not a good idea. You need to get something that is designed for CP soap.

Are you talking about those little .5 oz bottles of fragrance oil?

About 8 years ago when I was first learning to make soaps DH bought me a whole bag of them he saw clearanced out at B&BW. I didn't know better, I mixed and soaped them. They didn't kill me, but I don't think they were skin safe. Also, terribly expensive!

if you mean the little bottles of diluted EO, usually mixed with safflower oil, then i don't think there would be a problem using them but, the scent probably wouldn't stay. HTH

Unless they say skin safe , I wouldn't risk wasting the oils . But that's just me :)

Thanks for the input everyone - it does not say safe for skin so think I will decline from using them in soap. Had a brain glitch - just thought at the moment, fragrance oil is fragrance oil. Don't know what I was thinking when I bought them - they just smelled so good :)

I hear you I thought the same thing , I did buy some when I first started making soap ,but was scared to use them .
