My interest is detoxification and not using charcoal as a colorant.
Since the detoxifying benefits of bentonite clay might be lost at least in part during the CP (thanks to the very high alkalinity of apx pH 13, which exceeds the clay's pH 10 / 11 tolerance), is ionic exchange also a potential issue for CP'ing charcoal soap ... especially if in a CP salt brine which, in my guesstimation exposes the clay to metals. ... unless a chelator rectifies that enough?
