Ionic Exchange a Potential Issue for CP Charcoal (ie like Bentonite Clay)?

My interest is detoxification and not using charcoal as a colorant.

Since the detoxifying benefits of bentonite clay might be lost at least in part during the CP (thanks to the very high alkalinity of apx pH 13, which exceeds the clay's pH 10 / 11 tolerance), is ionic exchange also a potential issue for CP'ing charcoal soap ... especially if in a CP salt brine which, in my guesstimation exposes the clay to metals. ... unless a chelator rectifies that enough?

Unless you plan to soak in it or slather it on and leave it on for an extended period of time prior to rinsing off, it's not going to detox anything. The only soap I ever leave on for an extended period of time is my psorasis shampoo for my scalp psoriasis. How many people do you know who actually even turn off the shower water, lather up all over their body and then turn the water back on to rinse, let alone leave the lather on the skin for even longer than that?

Perhaps a few military men might, but I doubt very much that even my proud military veteran brothers have done so since leaving the military unless they were washing in the rough (as in camping).
