I need to get some sort of insurance for my soap to sell. I cannot afford the Soap makers Guild insurance. Are there any others out there a little more reasonable price>?? Thank you.

From what I've seen just liability insurance of 1 million will run upwards of $300 per year, that is just liability and with a pretty decent deductible. (I also haven't checked for over a year) Keep in mind that does not cover your supplies or anything else - just liability.

If you find something more reasonable than the guilds prices please don't keep it a secret!

I heard the guild insurance was close to or at $500 a yr.

It's $100 for the membership and last time I checked $400 a year for the insurance.

I just got insurance with RLI for $220 per yr. That is providing I do not sell over $5000 in a yr. I WISH!! haha
