Im new to this forum. Is there any fellow soapers in Sarasota fl?? Also if anyone knows a supplier that you can go to and shop. Wholesale warehouse. To go in and shop.
Its ok. Its hard to find people here that make soap. Im more of a hands on person ifb you show me once I got it. I have been researching for 4 mo. Now. I made 2 batches of soap cp that came out great. I want to start my own business. So I would love to mingle
There is a soaper on the forum named Shawnee, nickname Alchemy&Ashes, who is in Land O' Lakes, FL. I don't know how close that is to you; however, she might me able to point you in the direction of some FL-based businesses.
Welcome to the forum. I wish I could help you, but I am way up the coast from you. I am actually trying to find some local places myself, and all I seem to find is mail order supplies. I learn better through hands on experience myself, but I am definitely going to be making some MP soap and will be looking at doing CP as well after I do a bit of the MPs for a bit.
Hey LulaGurl
I'm just north of you (an hour or so) in Land O' Lakes (outskirts of Tampa). There are a few FL suppliers for soapmaking ingredients...unfortunately none are close to me.
Essential Depot is in Sebring
(I purchase lye and a few essential oils from them...they also are the only source of rendered Tallow I could find)
Camden Grey is in Doral (Fort Lauderdale/Miami area) and is my go-to supplier for the majority of my essential oils...they do carry additives, base oils, molds, etc. I don't believe they have a brick & mortar store.
I don't use the following, but you may find them helpful:
Florida Suncoast Soapworks is in St. Pete, so not too far from you
Florida Soap Supplies
Ponte Vedra Soap Shoppe http://www.suppliersbystate.com/state-listings.php
I saw a place in Sarasota while I was looking the other day, I think. I could be wrong. I just got frustrated because there is nothing in Pensacola and closed the windows. Lol! At least I should get my orders from Essentials Depot quicker once I move though.
