Hi everyone,i'm new on here and also new to soap making. I've already made batches of cp soaps, one was a Cinnamon Soap and the other a Sweet Liquorice exfoliating Soap both turned out better than expected apart from a thin layer of ash. At the moment they're only for home use and a few selected friends but i'm hoping to get my Assessment and Insurance etc sorted out soon so i can start selling..
I'm ex Army and saw action in Iraq so this seems very strange to some people for me to be involved in, but worries aside i'm very excited and can't wait to get going properly..
Thanks for reading :D

Oh Forgot to say,i'm from the UK ;)

Welcome to the forum! :D

I think it's great that you're excited about making soap so please take this in the nicest way possible - we really recommend that you make numerous batches of soap over a period of time so you know how well your soaps will hold up before you start selling. You'll want to know how well the fragrances and colorants will perform (fading, morphing, discoloration). You'll want to make sure you won't have problems with certain oils which might go rancid, etc.

Here's a link to a sticky which discusses being ready to start selling.

There is a wonderful group of people here who are generous in sharing tips and giving assistance. You'll find a lot of help and support and I hope you'll enjoy discussing all aspects of soapmaking with everyone.
