These last few weeks have been devastatingly difficult (hence the reason for not hopping on so much) so my daughter and I decided to spend some time today picking mulberries together. Quite some time later, stained hands and a large bucket full of mulberries I thought I had better see if I can use some in soap.

Has anyone done this before?

how much should be used?

will the soap stain the skin/facewasher?

How did you incorperate it into the recipe e.g in water, in the oils, at trace?

Oh my goat a mulberry just fell out of my hair lol, I better go help my daughter finish the job, the goats are fighting us for the berries hehe.

Thankyou for any help/suggestions. :D

Hope everything settles down for you soon GG....

I have used pureed strawberries in CP and MP - make sure you puree the mulberries well so there are no lumps to possibly rot inside your soap

The strawberries turned the soap beigey brown but the fruit acids and sugars sure added to the lather. Fruit will heat up your batter more than normal so take that into account too. Post pics of your mulberry soap once it is made please :D

Thankyou everybody for your kindness, sadly the problems are not over but one day at a time makes it a little easier to bare.

O.k. we got the mulberries washed, blended, strained through a colander, blended the lumps, strained through a colander again and put into snaplock bags. Theeeeen we added distilled water to the lumpy pulpy stuff and strained through a strainer and stored the "mulberry water" into bottles.

The mw is seedless and the mulberry juice has seeds and is more concentrate.
As soon as I get a batch made up i'll post pics, thanks again everyone it's nice to know there are still nice people in the world.
