Ice Cream Scoop?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a decent Ice cream scoop to make bubble scoops with? I bought one and the band is not flush with the scoop.

Well, I've never made bubble scoops, but this is the ice cream scoop we have (what can I say - I like my ice cream) and looking closely at ours it looks like the band is flush with the scoop (by flush I mean it's the same shape as the scoop all the way around and at the bottom - there is about a 1/16 inch gap between the band and the scoop):

I could scoop out some soap dough for you and take a pic if that would help.

Thanks so much. The one I bought was just a mess. no need to take pics. Im sure you would notice if half the ice cream was left under the band.

Oh no - no, that would be very unacceptable and make me sad. This one is nice a sturdy. We've had it for 12 years and it's even lasted through a teenage boy!
