Wow, you were right using just the buds is plenty of scent, and it looks great. Granted my soap still looks like a dogs breakfast compared to most of you on here but this is a major milestone for me. The soap still needs to cure and I'll see what kind of suds it gives being a Pomice Oil only soap but I know I can fiddle with the formula and make a very presentable soap.

I was thinking of the 'suds' aspect of it as well, i think a nice boost for bubbles (now remember though...bubbles DONT mean clean neccessarily...)

is to add 1tbsp of sugar ppo or to add some honey, they are supposed to help a bit with lathering...

let us know how you like it once you use them! ... i have no patience so i try all mine when they are cold, provided they are safe to use (which i quadruple check )

Thanks, the colourant just states, "Cosmetic Liquid Colorant" and it's actually called Lavender, I bought it at a little local store called Soap and More, they are online. I'll try the sugar thing for sure.

Alright, here it is.
I used a cutoff of the soap today. It was excellent. My skin feels moisturised, no off smells, the only smell was a mild Lavender, the foam, no real bubbles, was ultra soft and for lack of a better word sexy feeling.
And suprisingly to me Lavender does not smell girly to me, I feel manly enough using it.
I am going to try a 100% Canola Oil batch today and amg oing to increase my Lavender budd concentration and let it infuse a little longer in the oil but I think I am on to something here.
