... with EXCITEMENT  I made my very first skin cream and it came out PERFECT even DH used it on his face and loved it (he gets dry flakey facial skin as well as a reaction to his silicon mask he wears all day at work).

My friend graciously sent me her recipe but I removed the Olive Oil and rice bran oil replacing them with 3 lighter oils and removed the beeswax but up'd the ewax. and put the preservative in.

I do have a question though. The cream is unscented/uncoloured, if I made a batch up for family and friends but each of them wanted a different scent how would I do that without making seperate batches, I mean hey, a woman con only use so much moisturizer lol.

You can put a small batch in a ziploc bag, add the fragrance and mix well. Then snip a small corner of the bag and pipe it into containers.

Oh that's good news, thanks for that, I was concerned maybe I would need to make up a whole batch for one fragrance.

I do this for work as sell lots of handcream to nurses as we wash so much our skin dries very quickly. What I do is make a master batch and pipe into containers at 150gms then using a pipette I add the fragrance to each container and mix in.
Congrats on your batch sounds like it went very well. I love to make lotions and creams and wish for a big long holiday just to play around with the many ideas that I have spinning around in my head :D

Apologies for the hijacking :D back to lotions

I buy the disposable icing bags. Weigh the amount needed, add fragrance and then seal them with a rubber band so I can mix. I then clip the end off and pipe into the bottle.

If you have a heat sealer this is a great way to sell refills to your customers custom fragranced and then shipped or dropped off.

Cheers
