I found these little Wilton silicone dipping cups today, and bought some to try as little soap molds:

The hold right at 3 fluid ounces if you fill them almost all the way to the top, so I poured off a little bit of today's batch into one. It looked all nice and smooth on top until I managed to drag a piece of plastic wrap across the surface of it, whoops, lol.

I dunno how it's going to turn out, but they looked neat and it's like a sickness, everything I see gets evaluated as a soap mold now. o_O

I swear the soap is as addictive as my fish are, I've been making a new batch just about every day and have to start getting creative to find places for them to cure.

It's either going to be an absolute disaster or a face soap, lol. It has coconut, olive, palm, and avocado oils, along with avocado and shea butter. Instead of water, I made a mix of a pureed cucumber, about 2" of a gianormous aloe leaf (skinned), a teaspoon of kelp powder and 1/2 teaspoon of spirulina for color, and about a cup of yogurt.

So far it's a neat shade of green, looks a little bit like guacamole. :D

Hmmm.... sounds much like what I had for lunch...

That looks like it is a gorgeous mould and....lol....I do that too! I have two mini bundt cake moulds which I used for the first time yesterday to make little sample slices of soap - they worked fine too.

Your recipe sounds yummy and will be an awesome face soap methinks and the colour is divine!

LOL! I did the same thing tonight! I went through my mom's cabinets for anything she didn't want that I could use! I hit the jackpot, she had a couple silicone brownie and cupcake pans she didn't want any more! The brownie has ripples on the bottom and the cupcake one is in the shape of the paper you usually put them in instead of smooth sides. Does that make sense? I can't wait to make a batch and see how they turn out!

YEAH!

I think those are going to look fab!

Very cool! I bought some of those empty easter eggs that you put stuff in for the kids? Well today I did a batch of soap using them....what a mess but I'm going to let them set up and see how they come out. I think next time I'm going to put a hole in the top of them and pour into them with a funnel...LOL

I wish I had seen ones like that I would have so bought them! I'm looking forward to seeing the unmolded soap!

Now, do you fridge to stop gel or will it not gel just sitting out? thay ARE cute, i see things and think soap molds also!

I just left that one out on the counter in front of a fan, and it seemed to do okay.

Bah, it would've worked perfectly if I'd left it alone for a while longer. As is, I popped it out right at 24 hours after pouring, and it was still a bit soft in places, so it has some cosmetic flaws. On the plus side, I know it worked and makes a neat sized domed soap.

You can see where I messed up the edge and left a pretty good sized dent in the top of it while taking it out of the mold.

It's a neat size and shape, though. Next time I'll know to leave it alone for longer.

Oooooh, don't tempt me! But not in green, that's just a bit...odd.

it could be a oger ****?! ( HALLOWEEN IDEA!!! )

haha you would be the only one selling oger **** soap i swear it.. ;)

my mind is so in the gutter
