After a rain, with a splash of fruity citrus.

That's what my young son asked for. Arkansas has a smell, a woodsy awesome smell. Every time we visited, it rained. It. Was. AWESOME...
With a splash of citrus lol.

I got juniper berry cybilla from BB and mixed on a paper towel with yuzu cybilla from bb. No go. Took lavender forest by bb, a fave of mine, and mixed with yuzu cybilla from bb. He says ok, only ok.

I need Arkansas rain in a bottle with a splash of citrus fresh crisp fruit.

I will admit I'm ignorant. Oh and ignorant to eo's too (haha ;-) ) would eo's do better, as in cedarwood and 10x orange or something? I know NOTHING about eo's, so help me find Arkansas in a bottle after a rain with a hint of citrus for him. Such a sweet boy, I want to do my best!

I have never been to Arkansas, but when you say citrus, do you mean tart or sweet kind of citrus? BB's Lime is very citrusy and tart, but not too tart. PEak's Key Lime is kind of sweet. BB's Orange Peel has a little zing to it because it smells like the peel more than the orange. Yuzu may be too round and sweet, perhaps.

Maybe Lavender Forest with a sharper citrus? Is Arkansas pine-y? NG's Cracklin' Birch smells like a leaf pile in fall- that kind of woodsy?

Sounds like a tall order. I hope you find some magic for him!

Like the awesome trees in the Ozark mountains with a fresh rain, so hint of ozone maybe? Pine will probably work. I was concerned about pine fo's winding up smelling like a pine car freshener lol. Thx. I've heard of it, the crackin birch, but never bought from ng. I'll check it out.

I wonder what will happen if you find and just add in the elements. A good woodsy scent, a small amount of a RAin FO and a splash of orange (or citrus of choice). I hope you can find your woods. Have you looked on the FO spreadsheet for something that people describe as woodsy or like a forest?

I did get juniper berry cybilla, and it doesn't smell woodsy oob at all, as well as yuzu cybilla and my son thinks it smells like jellybeans oob.
I'm thinking a cedarwood eo with a lemongrass (does it smell like lemons :???: never used nor smelled eo's to my knowledge). Then a splash of something rainy....is cedarwood eo really woodsy smelling?

I have cedarwood EO and to me, it does not smell woodsy. It smells kind of warm but not what I think of as a forest. I don't care for it but it is well-liked by others. Lemongrass had a pungent citrus smell which is somewhat lemony but is not 100% lemon. Dang, it's hard to describe a fragrance! I'm wracking my brains trying to think of what I would consider a true forest scent and I'm coming up short.

Terre d'Hermès is a scent that has a definite "forest floor" component, with citrus on top. I think you'd need some vetiver for the base, maybe some gum benzoin with it. Some dark patchouli in the middle with a hint of florals like a rose geranium, up top orange, grapefruit, lemon ... whatever citrus you like. I think that would get you close to something you are looking for.
