Can someone please tell me what I can do to make my soaps milder as some soaps can cause irritation, if you know what I mean? I am using coconut, olive, palm, castor. Following all directions according to the lye calculator.

What percentage of the oils are you using? Higher percentages of coconut can be irritating to some people. If you want a really mind soap, castille is usually well tolerated.

Yeah, on the coconut oil, most try to keep it to 25% or lower. I don't know about palm but I don't use it any higher than 25% either. You can keep your olive oils amounts high or add some avocado oil, rice bran, or other nice oils to your combo.

increase your superfat?

by the way - it's still soap, and not a moisturizing product. so keep your expectations realistic :)

I don't know how you feel about lard but my soaps have made a big difference since I've been using 70-75% lard and coconut, olive and castor oil as my other oils.
