We did a little rearranging in our living room about a month ago and, once done, realized there was one corner that needed a small lamp. We didn't have a spare and I didn't feel like going shopping for one so, after a little looking around, I turned a candle lantern into a lamp. John helped with some of the making of holes for the cord and I put it all together. It took about an hour from start to finish. That makes three lamps I've fixed or made. Two were old lamps from John's father, a pole lamp and a wall sconce lamp, that needed new cords. This one was done from scratch.

The candle lantern - it was gathering dust because we never really use it.

And, it works! I'm always a little nervous the first time I plug them in. It took us about an hour from start to finish.
