I forgot castor??

Made crockpot soap this morning and forgot to add 5% castor.
Will the soap still lather with only 25% coconut oil?

It should still lather.

What is your superfat %? If it's only 5%, then leaving out 5% of your oils will mean you how have a 0% superfat.

I used 8% superfat.

It will lather and your soap will still have sf (3%). I've made soaps w/o castor and the lather is just fine.

It should be fine, I would zap test it just to make sure it is okay.

I made a soap with 55% OO, 25% palm and 20% CO - lathers fine with no castor at all. My pine tar has no castor and 25% CO - also lathers with no effort. It'll be fine from that point of view, but aye, will have a low SF of course.
