I broke my soap!

I am so mad at myself! I tried unmolding my soap too soon, and part of it stuck to the bottom of the mold. I'm super bummed because the soap has lines (very straight lines, I think). I don't know if I can get it back together seamlessly.

I put it back in the mold and am thinking of trying gel it and meld it. Anyone have any other tricks or tips to try?

Spritz the pieces with water, put back together in the mold, and put in a 160F oven for a few hours?

A spritzer is a good idea. I will need to get my gumption up to take the soap out again. Truth be told, I just want to ignore it for awhile and later find it healed. UHH, all that waiting last night to get the lines perfect; I can barely stand thinking about what I did today.

I hope it comes back together for you. Hey, here's a thought-kintsugi! Add a dusting of gold mica where the break is before you repair it.
