what are the advantages of CPHP soap making?
I'm looking to make a very mild (baby) soap and struggling to get the ph low enough with CP - will HP solve this?
Also, can i use the same recipe i've used for CP or do i need to avoid using certain ingredients (currently including castor, coconut, olive, palm, sweet almond and avocado. Also adding Aloe vera as part of the water content)?

Castile is good for baby soap, though I've never HP'ed it. Give it a shot! I like HP for its quickness of being ready to use.

Fragrance oils tend to cause less trouble in HP. No acceleration issues since FO is added after the cook. You can also use less FO and get the same scent strength. FOs don't usually morph in HP either.

Another thing I've found is that micas that morph in CP due to the high PH, work better in HP since the PH is lower by the time you color your batch.

Of course, your soap is technically ready to use quicker, I still think that HP soaps benefit from a bit of a cure. I usually cure mine at least 2 weeks so they have time to harden up.

I don't think the PH of the finished soap in HP is really any lower than it would be in CP after the cure. I could be wrong.

And yes, you can use the same recipe in HP that you would in CP.

The benefits of cphp (crock pot hot process, I believe) is that you can lazily pour all the oils in the crock regardless of temps, pout the lye of top of that regardless of temps, stick blend well, leave on the warm setting for 30 minutes or so... then just stir in additives and pour into mold... fo's that don't do well in cp.. also you can choose what oil to superfat with...

Soap is soap there is only so low ph will go. Castile is good as a mild baby soap. However I do like the fact less FO needed in HP and fact that bars are ready to use little sooner.

With HP, you can use the bar right way, but it's still best to wait for at least a couple of weeks for the water to evaporate. If you wait, it will last longer in the bath or shower.

I find that with HP milk soaps, the soap can sometimes smell burnt and can alter the FO's smell. That's about my only issue with HP.
