One thing a lot of people have trouble with is taking photos of soap that makes it look attractive. The following link may help.

To add onto this: on Android, "Meitu" is an awesome free photo editing app.

The UI makes it seem like it's only purpose is 'beautifying' selfies, but I find their photo adjustment tools really great. You can manually adjust brightness, contrast and other settings, but their Auto settings are also quite nice. You can also 'erase' little specks of dirt or hair from your photos just by touching the area to erase. So if you notice a little speck of dust on your table after taking your soap photo, you can magically erase it!
