Hi just wondering how to seal mason jars for body scrub. Is it safe to still do the boiling method with body scrub ingredients such as sugars, coconut oil, etc...?

I now nothing about how to properly package scrubs for sale, but I would worry that heat would make the sugar or salt sink?

There is an attachment for mason jars by The vacuum sealer Food Saver. I was looking for a link about that, but found this tutorial instead, that uses the canisters that came with mine, so now I'm all excited about that: [ame="https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M0XRSENsnYs"]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M0XRSENsnYs[/ame]

Does anyone know how long theyll last without a vacuum seal? I know some body scrubs are stored in plastic PET jars and that doesnt require a vacuum seal.

I agree with the Accomplished Man, water is your real concern.
It doesn't take much heat to create a vacuum seal. Heating to about a 100F should be enough.
