I have not used it, but have read and found butterfly pea flower interesting.

Indigo can be tricky.  Here's a video using two types of indigo, showing differences in color shades with the two types.  There are several other references around that go into how to choose which indigo to purchase to get the result you want and other ways of preparing the indigo  as well, so tricky.
