How much soap?

Sorr if this is a stupid question but I cant find the answer to it somewhere else...
If the oils of my soap weigh 1 pound then how much soap will I get after Ive mixed in the lye and water, does something disappear in the soap making process? Or can I add the weight of the lye and water to find out how much soap I will be getting?

when figuring the yield of my soap, i almost always go with whatever the weight of the oils i used was, knowing that water will evaporate over time. to me, that's safest. it's not exact, but it is reliable.
