My aunt is a beautician and she will be cutting my hair either today or tomorrow. While she is cutting my hair I am going to talk to her about selling my CP soap. I am giving her a bar of soap so she can give it a test drive and she can tell customers what she thinks of it. Which should help with the sell. I know she can easily sell my soap with all of the customers she has so I want to pay her something. After all it is only fair she gets some income from helping me. I will be charging $5 per bar of soap. How much of a commission should I give her? I have never sold my soap before so I thought you guys could help figure this out.

I know a couple of people that sell soaps for those that make it and the going rate seems to be a 25% commision by all accounts, but really it's something that you should discuss with your aunt so you come to a mutally agreeable deal

Yeah, that's the easiest way to do it. Sell her X number of bars at, say, $3 a bar. Then you walk away with all of it sold, and she can list her price. She may list it for $6 or $7 though. This way is better than her telling you "Hey, honey, I sold 2 bars for you this week, stop by and get your $8."

The wholesale standard in the US is 50% of retail. Commission varies but averages from 30-40% of retail.

Just make sure you have insurance and all of your business stuff taken care of. It's not worth the risk either from someone who is sue happy or the IRS. Good luck. It's very exciting when you first start selling! :)
