how much colorant to used

Hello is anyone can help and give me advice on how much colorants to used on my goat milk soap ( cold process) and how do i know if i add too much

It all matters what kind of colorants you're using, what shade of that color you're going for, what color your soap batter is before you color it, if you gel your soap and if you're adding a fragrance that might discolor. Honestly, it's trial & error.
You'll know if you have used too much colorant because when you use the soap the bubbles will be colored instead of white.

LOL That's the fun part & not so fun part of soap making. When I'm first testing new colors with my regular recipe I make a batch of soap and then divide that up into smaller amounts, which I add color to to test. That way I'm not wasting a large batch of soap if a colorant doesn't work out.

Sometimes the manufacturer will explain how to use the colorant and how much to use. I know Bramble Berry does that, so I'm sure others do as well. It's worth seeing if they have a tutorial or instructions on the vendor's website.

I'm glad this question was asked! I've been wondering how much colorant was too much & I didn't want to find out the hard way by getting green or some other color of soap suds! I like the idea of splitting a batch up into small portions to test colors. Any successful test bars could be used later in a chunk style soap!
