How do you think this slab swirl was made?

I’ve had these slabs dancing through my head at night like so many sugar plums... I was thinking maybe a funnel pour but...?

Not sure what its called, but its like the cosmic wave poured like a funnel pour (little separate pours). Its all in how the pour container is loaded.

Looks like it was poured in layers then a spatula was inseted and spun.

I vote for a variation of the cosmic swirl wave. Probably with the faux funnel technique combined. Do you have the link for the photos? Sometimes a bit of searching will reveal the original soapmaker and you can find out more about the technique if they blogged about it or perhaps entered it in a challenge somewhere.

I think it is like the video @Hannah Felton posted, but instead of pouring from only 2 corners, it is poured in separate spots. My picture is of the cosmic wave technique. You don't need a skewer - the bands form as you are pouring.

The maker is T&B Bathhouse out of Thailand. They don’t seem to have any blogs or challenge videos

To me it also looks like there was some circular movement....like maybe the slab mold was slightly rotated while pouring? I've never done any kind of cosmic pour, it seems like it would be fun to play around with.

I don't think the mold was rotated. It has to do with the way the colored batter is layered into the pouring vessel.

I thought that the slab was rotated as well but after watching a few videos today I think that @dibbles is right, it’s just the layering.

While it looks a lot like Soap baby's Whirlwind, and this Whirlwind Marble (Instagram) pour 2015, I have found an acrylic pour that has the same ring patter as the soap in@Amaress' picture (see below)
