I've got $100 from the hubby to spend on soap making materials. YAY! So which site do I order from? I already have a ton coconut and olive oils, along with bits and pieces of others, so most of that is covered. I do want to get some cocoa butter, shea butter and pkf, and as many FOs as possible :) Up until now, most of my soap has been unscented, and I'm ready to play it up! But.. there's so many web pages and scents to choose from, and some almost seem too cheap to be any good. I'm definitely trying to stretch my budget though, who knows when the hubs will let me go soap shopping again! ;)

^^Hardest question to answer ever. :D

I started by picking one site and ordering a good variety. Each time I get a little "extra" I try a new supplier to see what is out there.

Look for sales/deals to get the best bang for your buck so to speak. I know Brambleberry has mango butter on sale right now, if I wanted to try that I would go there then expand to fo's, etc. Or Nature's Garden had a deal where you buy so many fo's you get a discount.

Search the forum for "must have scents" - most seasoned soapers on here have favorites and that was my starting point to get rolling. I also joined the fragrance review board posted as a sticky and spend lots of time reading reviews. I have had more good than bad results thanks to research.

Or just write a few down on little papers in a bowl and pick one! There is so much out there. Congrats on your future spree!

I really like this vendor and they test the scents in cold process...make sure you read the complete description of the fragrance to see if it discolors or accelerates, etc. https://www.soapalooza.com/ so far I've had no problems...I generally use 1 oz per pound of oils. hth!

I use soapers choice for all my oils, and most of the butters. Fo's I use a variety of places. BB, wsp and a few others
