How can you refine unrefined coconut oil?

I found a local source of coconut oil, but it's unrefined and in liquid form. The CO I usually have delivered is refined and in solid form, so I was just wondering - can I still use the unrefined liquid CO and still get the same results from my soap or do I have to refine it myself?

liquid or solid simply depends on the temperature - the melting point of coconut oil (unrefined/virgin, and 76 which is the most common) is 76 degrees F. above that you have liquid.

Are you sure you don't have fractionated coconut oil? That is always liquid.
