How can you prevent gel in goat's milk soap?

What is the most effective way to prevent gel in goat's milk soap?

It's not that I have anything against gel in general it's just that I want to avoid the "partial gel" by not gelling at all, lol.

I put mine in the freezer as soon as it's poured and leave it there overnight.

soap very cool and don't insulate. I use a 'flat' mold as apposed to a log mold though....

I have an uplands log mold, it has a silicone liner and a wooden lid.

Just put it in the freezer? Would I need to cover it?

I did it this way

I put my mold in the fridge to cool while making my soap, then after I pour the soap into the mold I return it to the fridge for 2 hours and then move it to the cooler overnight. It has worked, absolutely no gel. I am going to try it again soon.

When I'm paranoid, I go all out. I put the mold in the fridge while I'm making the soap. I soap cool. I put the soap in the freezer for two or three hours, then in the fridge overnight. It may be overkill, but it works.

i am going to try that i am new to this and only made 1 batch of goat milk soap did not come out that good it turned orange.

I used one ounce of GM per pound added at trace and added ground oatmeal. It looks very nice, not a bit of gel.

I freeze the goats milk and use as 100% of my liquid. Soap cool, cover the mold with saran and put it in the freezer untill the next day.

Or you can use individual moulds. :wink:

I individual molds and place directly on my quartz counter top. The counter top sucks every bit of heat out of it. As a matter of fact, I couldn't get my soap to gel even when insulated with 2 wool blankets on those counter tops. So I had to let them gel on top the freezer in the garage to get them to gel. I like gelled soaps better.
