Horchata soap

My husband loves horchata. I used to love it, too, but don't seem to have the taste for it anymore.

I lived in Mexico for over 6 months and never heard of this. I missed out!

KiwiMoose, in what part of Mexico did you live? My son lived in Palenque, Chiapas for a couple of years. We visited him & DIL there once and absolutely loved the area. We actually did a large roadtrip through several states of Mexico that trip, visiting almost half of them. It was a wonderful adventure. But my favorite time there was while in Chiapas with my family. The story is that my granddaughter was conceived there, which totally fits the timeframe. Anyway, it was lovely, and I hope to return someday, but only if my DIL is with me, as she was the best guide!

Just a note: I know horchata in Mexico is made from rice, milk, and cinnamon.
However, in El Salvador horchata is made from the lightly toasted seeds of a gourd, along with some cinny. They'll sometimes add milk but it's not the usual. I think I'll have to see how it does in soap!
