I am putting this under the miscellaneous because it's not related to soaping. I posted this on Facebook, as well. My sister-in-law suffers from MS and has had a number of relapses. She is currently raising donations for her 50 mile walk in a couple of weeks. She isn't sure she can make it that far, but is doing her best to raise money.

I am asking on her behalf if you or anyone you know is inclined to want to support her, this is her page on the MS Society website:

http://main.nationalmssociety.org/s...20&et=inJl84RKoX28mqnipSsE8w..&s_tafId=105166

Anything that can be done to find a cure is welcome as we watch her with this and the struggles she endures. My uncle also suffered from MS and died a few years ago.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Jarvan
I agree whole heartedly , the sooner they can find the cure for this devastating disease the better . It runs in my family too . I will definitely support her in her run and bless her for doing it . It cannot be easy for her .

Kellie

Thank you so much Kellie! This means the world to us. April is not sure how many of the 50 miles she can complete, but every year she is out there participating.

Jarvan, my wonderful boyfriend of many many years was diagnosed with MS on 6-6-06. The dreaded three sixes. Anyway, he is progressing so very quickly and we raise alot of money for MS every year before the MS Walk. Any money we raise is matched by my bf. I HATE MS with a passion. I watch my bf lose more and more mobility every freakin day and it sucks so bad. How is your sister in law health wise? Is she taking any meds to try to slow down the MS?
Anyway, just wanted to say that I support any kind of MS fund raising and I will be making a nice donation. Thank you for posting this. Any kind of MS info. that gets out there is so very important. Billie

PS last year my bf walked about a mile, this year he walked a block or so ;(

Billie,

I can't thank you or Kellie enough for your support. It really does help. This year, April submitted and used a cane for the first time. She retired from her job as head women's basketball coach at a local college and teaching sports psychology and math instead. It killed her to give up her position and she mourns the loss. She was always very athletic. In her mind she still is, but unable to compete. I love her very much and will do what I can to help.

Thanks again,
Jen
