I guess I should introduce myself, so here goes.

I live in Alberta and I got into this in a rather roundabout way. It's a long story. Anyway, I had no idea I could make my own soap until I randomly discovered you could buy lip balm cheap in bulk and flavour it yourself, and put a pretty label on it. Whilst I was buying the lip balm I ordered a melt and pour base, which went fast. It was too drying for my skin. I learned about CP soap and wanted to try it, so I did.

Now I want to do it a whole lot more. I plan to develop recipes that really suit my skin type, and no longer buy any chemical stuff that my skin doesn't like anyway. This includes shampoo, moisturiser, face masks and body butters. My skin loves plain old kaolin clay and it's dirt cheap. I tried one with milk and honey too. Kept it in the fridge for a few days. Freshly made masks are rather nice.

I have ideas for two very specific soap ideas that I might sell down the road. Maybe mid next year if I get them perfect. Just a couple though. I'm pretty busy with a whole lot of other stuff.

Still roaming around for the best supplier... what a process. Buying stuff, any stuff, in Canada can be hell.
