Greetings to you all from a very sunny South Africa.
Thank you for allowing me to join your group of (hopefully) obsessive soap makers.
Are there any Whipped Soap makers here ?

Welcome!

My very first batch of CP soap was whipped soap, but I haven't made any for over a year now. So many techniques and ideas, so little time...

Thanks for the welcome, Becky.
I am going through withdrawal stress right now. My work takes me away from home for ever longer periods and I have not made soap in 2 months. I only make Whipped soap now after years (I am 54 and a lifelong soaper) of DHHP soap. I have about 24 assorted bars on hand, but NO Oakmoss, Cinnamon and Clove and wouldn't you just know that is the only one I want right now :)

Hi from Aussi

Welcome to you.
I am getting myself all whipped up about doing whipped soap very soon.
I have been collecting photos of other peoples gorgeous whipped cake creations. In my extremely fertile imagination I have a little Soap-cake shop full of them ,all displayed on cake plates ,stands, cookie racks etc
Maybe I can learn with you.
:)

Hiya, Starduster.
I am quite willing to share my "Whipping" experiences with you.
The soap cake shop sounds lovely, but one thing I have learned after many years of selling my soaps is that people tend to view "cakey" soap as being purely ornamental. They buy them for their novelty value and then display them as bathroom decor.

Plain old bars are more likely to be used, and then they have to be replaced :)

This is just my opinion. What do you guys think ?

My current favourite is Oakmoss, Cinnamon and Clove but I am all out of stock, so no pics of that. Sensual and warm and just yummy.

I also love the crisp "zingyness" of the Litsea, Ginger and Patchouli.

The floral soaps are very popular with customers, but do not really appeal to me personally.

Welcome! Your soaps soap really nice! You will have to post some pics for us to drool over!

Hello and welcome MagiDellaLuna! I have looked at an online tutorial for making whipped soap and will definitely try it someday soon. I make MP soap and next week will make my first CP batch....whipped soap will be sometime after that I guess :D

This is the website I looked at - you may find it helpful/inspiring? There is a link to a tutorial and photo gallery.

I have some friends who emigrated to Australia from South Africa about 8 or 9 years ago. They are wonderful, caring and friendly people, so South Africa gets a big 'thumbs up' from me! 8)

Best wishes,

Tanya (topcat)
