Herring Oil

Wondering if I can soap with Herring oil- or add Herring oil to other oils for soaping- If the smell will come through. Has anyone tried it? thanks

I'm curious - why would you want to use it? Is it inexpensive?

@ Judy - I have an almost unlimited free supply of food grade herring oil. Most of it we use to supplement our sows with litters on them, but I still have way more than I can use. And it is still coming in 5 to 10 gallons at at time. I made some bacon grease soap and the scent of the bacon did not come through into the soap- that is what gave me the idea to maybe try the herring oil. I have a heck of a time getting my posts to go on this forum and had typed all this before but it took 4 times to get the post to actually work.
