I tried a recipe using 9.7 oz lye, 1lb 8 oz water, 2lb 10oz olive oil, 1lb 5oz coconut oil, 4 tbl. castor oil and 3 oz essence oil fragrance.
When I added the fragrance the oil rose to the top while the bottom started clumping (looks like rice?) Is there any saving this?

break it up and bring it back together as best you can with your stick blender, or use a conventional blender. If you use the conventional blender you are going to get trace in a matter of seconds but it blends and breaks clumps up like nothing else. If you are going from the blender to the mold (instead of back in the pot mixed with the rest of the oils) mix the batter in the pot up as best you can so everything is dispersed as evenly as possible.
