Does anyone know how to get the heavy odor from sheabutter? The one I have smells like bacon. I want to use it in my soap but I don't want the soap to take that scent.

I'd go ahead and use it as-is, I have several pounds of unrefined shea butter that has a very distinct and noticeable "smoky" scent to it, and that scent has never come through in a single batch of soap, not even in an unscented batch that was 75% CO and 25% shea.

Ive also used shea that had odor, it was fine in soap, it goes away.

I used unrefined shea in my soaps 25% and I have never been able to smell it. I also make Whipped Shea and once you add the fragrance, you can't smell the shea butter.
