Help with Mica!

Hi there..

I need some help with using Mica..How much mica you put in a batch of 1 kilo........I think that is about 38 ozs...not sure. I bought some mica from a woman who is importing it but it didn't do anything. I put 5 gms in which is about a tablespoon I think.....did nothing.

Should I be using more or do you think it might be the Mica reacting to the CP soap?

It could be that the mica wasn't soap stable. That should have been enough to add some color. Since it didn't I would assume the mica is not soap stable.

It also depends on the colour of your oils as opposed to the colour of the mica; if you are using a very green oil such as extra virgin olive oil, and a pale mica such as yellow or peach, it may not show up against the greeness of the oils.

What oils and what shade of mica did you use?
