I was just making my third batch of soap. It traced really quickly, I put it into moulds, and when I came back five minutes later, it had all frothed up and was overflowing the moulds. Now it looks like lumpy marmalade!

This one I stirred and it didn't get any better :-(

This is the recipe I followed:
500g coconut oil
300g olive oil
100g sweet almond oil
100g yellow palm oil
155g sodium hydroxide
375g spring water

When it traced, I added 10ml each of lemon essential oil, orange oil and lemon grass oil and 20ml grated citrus peel.

Any ideas what on earth went wrong?? Do you think it's possible to save the soap?

Any tips very gratefully received

I think your soap was actually starting to go into the gel phase, I wouldn't have stirred it if I was you.
And I think that your problem may be caused by the essential oils that you used, citrus are notorious for this.
I'm sure more experienced soapers can offer much more detailed information for you though.
