Hello, I live in a small mountain village in eastern Crete ,Greece we have each year a small surplus of olive oil and we are gonna turn some of it into soap for our own use . The first attempt earlier today was a fail so I'm going to look around on this forum and ask you all and find out what went wrong ... oilyfella ...

Welcome to the forum. I use SoapCalc to figure the amount of lye and liquid for my recipes. If coconut oil is readily available, you might add 25% coconut to your olive oil. It will may a harder and more bubbly bar. From what I have read, pure Castile soap takes several months to reach maturity, and then it is great soap.
