I am totally new to soap making (other than melt and pour) and making a shampoo bar is my motivation. I have had an interest in cold/hot process soap making for years but have been afraid of the lye. I'm ready to give it a try and i hope you learn from those here. :-D

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you're going to love cp soap making. You sound like I did when it came to lotion making...I wanted to make lotion for years before I finally took the dive. LOL! Anyway, it's good to have you.

Welcome to the forum! Being afraid of lye is a good thing. Just make sure to dress up in protective gear (especially for eyes and hands). Once you make your first batch of soap you will realize that it is not so frightening after all. You will do fine - have some fun!

thanks everyone, for the welcome. i can see looking around, that i need to learn some very basic things first, like % to actual weights and measurements to use and like if i want to add yucca to a shampoo bar now much stuff you can add... i will keep reading here and learning. thank you.. :)
