Hi, thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Sharon and I've been making soap for about 8 years. I don't sell, just make if for family and friends.

My husband Bob and I live in Huntington Beach Ca. We are both retired. He was an electrician and I was a professional dog trainer for 27 years.
He loves to work with wood, and I love making soap, and am diving into making a few candles in containers. We like to travel in our 5th wheel toy box, that hauls our Goldwing motorcycle and 2 cats. We just lost our last Standard Poodle 2 weeks ago...miss him terribly but we're taking a "dog break" for a little while. We are also "semi-foodies", and both love to make home made bread and other 'from scratch' dishes.

Looking forward to meeting and talking with you,
Sharon

Nice to meet you, Sharon! Welcome to the forum :) I'm sure you'll have a blast here talking about, learning about, and looking at SOAP!

Welcome to the forum Sharon. Wow, you have a lot of experience!

I live in Altadena (about 20 miles north of you?) and I sell soap at our farmer's market on Wednesdays.

I wish I had a farmer's market near me :( That sounds like it would be so much fun!

Hello Sharon, and welcome to the forum! People here are wonderful and helpful! It is nice to have you here. My brother and his wife are in the process of getting a new handicap accessible fifth wheel.

Hi Sharon,

Welcome to the forum!

I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your poodle and I can empathize with your feelings. I think being a dog trainer must have been a wonderful career. I hope you enjoy the forum!
