Hello from Northern Virginia

Hi everyone, Daniel here, I'm a 31 year old guy in Northern Virginia. I came across soapmaking somewhat unexpectedly, became intrigued, and have been researching it for the last month or so.

I've ordered some supplies and have come up with a very carefully calculated soap recipe using only vegetable oils and lye solution. I'm planning on creating my first batch in the next week or so.

I have a few questions which I'll be posting to the forum. Really looking forward to sharing advice and experiences with you guys.

You say you are in construction and an electrician.You will have great skills to visualise and put together a great soap.
I have a son called Daniel who is 5 years older than you. He is in building as his usual occupation but as I type is in Hospital theatre getting a steel pin in a leg as he broke it . Going to the hotel not home from it. :wink:

Thanks for the kind words, though I'm not in construction or an electrician. I am however very good with my hands, and have some creative ideas.

I'll be sure to share the results of my first attempt.
